The point of today's devotion is pretty much the point of Christianity. We are all sinners, and the only way to be redeemed of that sin is through Jesus Christ. The end. :) Well, not really the end, because a continued relationship with God is the only way to truly experience that grace and love and fulfill His purpose for your life.

This also made me reflect a little on my conversation with Adam about God as a selfish God because one of the things he brought up was why God stayed mad at us for something someone else did. I don't know if I had a good answer for it then, but thinking about it now, it's not that in addition to our sins we have to be forgiven for Adam's sin (the other Adam...) but because of his sin, sin came into the world. When they ate the fruit from the tree, it brought the knowledge of good and evil into humanity and cast us all out of the garden. Instead of growing up in God's garden, we grow up in the trash heap of the world we've created for ourselves. Instead of being born with God's peace in our hearts, we are born selfish and unapologetic.
